Linda Bauld became Board certified as a Middle Childhood Generalist in 2006 and renewed in 2014. She taught grades 2-5 for 23 years in Title 1 schools. After achieving certification and with the clarity that certification brings, she pursued her master's in Language and Literacy and received her Reading Specialist credential.
She retired from classroom teaching in 2014 in order to be the Director of the National Board Resources Center at Stanford University. While being the director she developed the Preparing for National Board Certification course in Canvas and co-developed several other Canvas courses.
She has been supporting educators through the certification process since 2006 because the process gave her many tools, resources, knowledge, and empowered her to reach more students successfully. Even though she retired from the director’s position she continues to support accomplished educators across the country.
